Field Conditions?!?

Just wondering how the fields are looking.. Also any info on what was done to repair? Trying to get an idea of what im in for.

played it last weekend, was still a bit soft in some spots, they brought in a LOT of sand, Ever play on the beach? Wink

Much better to run on the beach then in a swamp. Laughing

We have put down 60 ton of crushed sand and 20 ton of fine sand. Fine is on the sidelines and crushed is in the back lanes. ripped up sod was removed in the really bad areas. There is no chance for mud on the field due to all the sand. mix of the crushed and fine keeps it from being too soft like a beach but soft enough to slide.

Gravel walk ways from pits to penalty box and the entire near side line has been mulched to keep any mud from happening there.

Some grading has been done and drainage improved. Last weekend we got 3 inches of rain friday and the guys playing at 8am athough a little damp did not have any mud issues or sink holes.
